Historical Museum of the Landing in Sicily 1943

Presentation

The library of the Museum, established by a deliberative committee of 2005, is currently provided of texts of general culture about the Second World War. The research aims to the individuation and to the finding of books about the landing in Sicily, written by the historians academicians and journalists of acknowledged scientific rigour and by passionately fond of history of Sicily who testify the liveliness of a Sicilian intellectuality which can be valued with the events of the past.

The research is not easy, because often the texts are published by a local publishing trade. It is however useful for the museum any bibliographic signalling.

The list of the texts includes a literature section constituted by diaries or letters of whom has been direct witness of The Landing or of the war in Sicily and moreover by a literary production in the pages of the different writers, where the event of the Landing in Sicily is the background, the hint or is a moment of the narration.
